RS15k Spectrometer

The RS15k is a cutting-edge echelle spectrometer designed for high-resolution spectral analysis in the near-infrared (NIR). With a spectral range of 950-1650 nm, the RS15k allows for detailed analysis of a wide variety of materials, compounds, and sources. Whether you are conducting research in a laboratory setting or in the field, the spectrometer can withstand the rigors of fieldwork, while its compact size allows for easy transport and setup.

SWIR detector technology

The RS15k is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel InGaAs short-wave infrared (SWIR) detector which is capable of detecting light from the visible to the near-infrared with a peak quantum efficiency of 90%.

SWIR detectors are used to detect electromagnetic radiation in the range of 900-2500 nm. These detectors are based on a variety of technologies, including InGaAs (indium gallium arsenide), HgCdTe (mercury cadmium telluride), and PbS (lead sulfide) among others. InGaAs is one of the most popular technologies used for SWIR detectors due to its high sensitivity and low noise characteristics.
